Book Club Part Two: Takeaways and Action
What: Concluding Discussion - It Costs How Much?!
Who: PNWFC Membership
Where: Online via Zoom
When: November 9, 2026 at 7:00pm - 8:00pm
Why: In our Book Club Part One seminar, we learned all about how regional yarn gets into our hands. In this session, we’ll discuss what we learned and insights gained. We’ll also get the special treat of meeting farmers, millers, and yarn shop owners who will tell their stories of participating in the regional fiber economy. You don’t want to miss this book club!
Now that we’ve read the book (title announced at August 17th Info Session), let’s discuss our shifts (or not) in perception regarding price and values. We will follow up on August’s conversation covering some of the reasons prices are the way they are, how they changing, and choices we can make as consumers that directly impact our regional fiber farmers, mills, artisans, and yarn shops. How do these new understandings and perspectives impact our consumer choices, if at all?
