How legislation directly impacts our PNW fiber economy and affects local fiber businesses.
What: Fiber Advocacy Series: Part 2 - Listening to business needs & writing letter to lawmakers
Who: The entire fiber community — everyone welcome
Where: Online via Zoom
When: October 12, 2026 at 7:00pm - 8:00pm
Why: Staying informed on relevant political issues is step one in advocating for the fiber economy at the legislative level.
This series is important to businesses and consumers alike because ultimately everything we do — the machines we purchase, the money we make, the yarn we buy — is attached to the law. Because the fiber economy is strongly bonded to the general economy, even laws and regulations that don’t sound like they would affect us, do. So let’s talk about it. Let’s figure it out together.
In part one of this series, we will present on the current issues that impact the fiber economy and which legislators are directly involved with those issues. In part two, we will listen to business and consumer needs related to those issues and conclude by writing letters to lawmakers to advocate for those needs.
